The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has outlined a comprehensive strategy, beginning with a review meeting involving leaders from five districts on January 8 and 9. Subsequent discussions with in-charges for all 17 Lok Sabha seats are scheduled from January 10 to 12. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following these meetings, Congress leaders plan to engage in visits to all constituencies from January 20, focusing on grassroots-level interactions with voters. The decisions were made during an extended meeting of TPCC, chaired by its president and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, and attended by All India Congress Committee (AICC) Telangana in-charge Deepadas Munshi. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This meeting marked Munshi’s first since her appointment in place of Manikrao Thakare, and the TPCC congratulated her on her new role. Key resolutions included a request to Congress Parliamentary Party leader Sonia Gandhi to contest for Lok Sabha from Telangana, a motion unanimously passed. Discussions centered on Lok Sabha election strategy, the implementation of six guarantees, and the filling of nominated posts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Munshi emphasized the need for closer coordination between the party and the government. The meeting also condemned the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) for allegedly misleading the public by publishing books highlighting unfulfilled promises of the Congress within a month of the new government taking office. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged party leaders to expose BRS propaganda and underscore their concerns about state financial mismanagement. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers, and senior leaders participated in the meeting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The party is expected to commence the candidate selection process for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls soon. In the 2019 elections, the Congress secured three out of 17 Lok Sabha seats. All three MPs, including Revanth Reddy, contested and won in the recent Assembly elections.
