New Delhi, Jan 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting on Monday to inaugurate the Pradhanmantri Suryodaya Yojana, which aims to install rooftop solar power panels on 1 crore houses across the country. The meeting, held at his residence at Lok Kalyan Marg, followed his visit to Ayodhya on the auspicious occasion of the Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Temple, as per a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Harnessing Solar Power:
During the meeting, the Prime Minister highlighted the potential of harnessing solar power on every household with a roof. He emphasized that this initiative would not only reduce electricity bills but also make households truly self-reliant (Aatmanirbhar) for their electricity needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objectives of the Yojana:
