Addressing the gathering, Modi commended the SC for bolstering various facets of democracy, including freedom of expression, personal liberties, and social justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the event, Modi inaugurated citizen-centric information and technology initiatives, such as Digital Supreme Court Reports (Digi SCR), Digital Courts 2.0, and a new Supreme Court website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Highlighting landmark judgments that have shaped India’s socio-political landscape, Modi underscored the importance of individual rights and freedom of speech in steering the nation’s trajectory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Modi emphasized the founding principles of a free India envisioned by the makers of the Indian constitution, emphasizing the SC’s role in upholding freedom, equality, and justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Discussing the future trajectory of the nation, Modi stressed that today’s economic policies will lay the foundation for a vibrant India tomorrow, while laws enacted presently will fortify the nation’s bright future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Acknowledging infrastructure challenges faced by the SC, Modi announced government initiatives to address them, including the allocation of over Rs 7,000 crore for enhancing court infrastructure and Rs 800 crore for expanding the Supreme Court Building Complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Expressing satisfaction over the digital initiatives, Modi lauded the availability of court decisions in digital formats and the commencement of translating SC decisions into local languages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Modi also highlighted the use of AI technology for real-time translation and accessibility, suggesting its potential implementation in courts to simplify processes for the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
