Seizes Rs. 27 Lakhs in Fake Notes”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

HYDERABAD, FEBRUARY20 Two individuals have been arrested for their involvement in printing and circulating fake Indian currency notes in Telangana and other states, according to the Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team. The apprehended individuals were identified as Hassan Bin Hamood, an auto driver from Falaknuma, Hyderabad, and Kum. Rameshwari from Kosgi, Narayanpet Dist. The team seized fake Indian currency notes worth Rs. 27 lakhs, a Lenovo laptop, two printers, and other related items from the accused.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kasturi Ramesh Babu, who was also involved in the operation, remains absconding. He had previously been arrested by Gopalapuram Police Station in September 2022 for a similar crime. While in jail, Ramesh Babu met with Hassan Bin Hamood, who was imprisoned for murder at the Bahadurpura Police Station, and the two hatched a plan to continue circulating fake currency upon their release.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After their release, Ramesh Babu and his family moved to Tandur and began preparing more fake currency notes. Rameshwari later contacted Hassan Bin Hamood and moved the materials, including fake Indian currency notes and printing equipment, to Chandrayangutta for further circulation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, along with Chandrayangutta Police, apprehended the accused persons and seized the fake Indian currency notes and other materials. The case is currently under investigation by the SHO Chandrayangutta PS.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The arrests were made by S. Raghavendra Inspector of Police, South Zone Task Force, K.N. Prasad Varma, Inspector of Police, Chandrayangutta PS, SIs V. Narender, N. Srishylam, Shaik Buran, K.
