Kavitha Requests Withdrawal of CBI Notice&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K. Kavitha has informed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) that she will not be able to attend its summons in the Delhi excise policy case and has requested the agency to withdraw the notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a letter to the central agency, Kavitha highlighted that the fresh notice issued under Section 41A CrPC was unaware of the earlier notice sent under Section 160 CrPC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Expressing her inability to appear before the agency due to her commitments in the run-up to the Parliamentary elections, Kavitha requested the CBI to consider keeping the notice in abeyance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The member of the Telangana Legislative Council emphasized her engagements and responsibilities towards the people of her state, which include attending numerous personal meetings spread over different districts in the next six weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, Kavitha assured the central agency of her willingness to cooperate through any virtual mode if required to answer queries or provide information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She expressed disappointment and confusion over the issuance of the notice under Section 41A CrPC, as the case is already sub-judice before the court of law and she has no role to play in the accusations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kavitha also referred to the ongoing case related to the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), stating that the statement made by the learned ASG in the Supreme Court should apply to the present case as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K.
