Telangana CM Launches T-Safe Service for Women’s Safety<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chief Minister of Telangana, A. Revanth Reddy, introduced the Travel Safe (T-Safe) service, marking a significant step towards ensuring the safety of citizens, particularly women, in the state. This pioneering initiative, spearheaded by the Women Safety Wing, is the first ride monitoring service of its kind initiated by the police in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The T-Safe service can be accessed effortlessly by dialing either 100 or 112 and selecting option “8” in the IVR menu. Additionally, citizens are provided with an automated link, enabling access to the service via the Travel Safe Application on Google Play Store or the T-Safe web page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon activation, users receive automated alerts at regular intervals, ensuring their safety throughout their journey. Failure to respond to these alerts triggers a prompt police response. Importantly, the T-Safe service does not require a smartphone or app download; even individuals with basic phones can avail of this service by dialing 100 and selecting option 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CM emphasized that T-Safe is more than just an app; it’s a service designed to empower women and vulnerable groups in the state. This proactive approach to emergency response, facilitated by automation, eliminates the need for citizens to repeatedly press buttons or dial emergency numbers. In critical situations, the technology also enables the dispatch of live tracking links to police patrol vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Looking ahead, the Women Safety Wing plans to integrate T-Safe with other applications used by cab aggregators and private transport services, further enhancing safety measures for citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the launch event, attended by various dignitaries including ministers and senior police officers, the CM commended the Telangana Police for their relentless efforts in making the state a safer place for women and children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
