Sarabjit Singh Khalsa (45), a Class XII dropout, is the son of Beant Singh, one of the two assailants who killed the late Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Khalsa had previously contested the Lok Sabha elections from Fatehgarh Sahib (Reserved) and Bathinda seats in 2014 and 2009, respectively, without success. In 2019, he ran as a candidate for the Bahujan Samaj Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Beant Singh and Satwant Singh, both bodyguards of then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, fatally shot her on October 31, 1984, at her residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the 2014 election affidavit, Sarabjit Singh Khalsa declared assets worth Rs 3.5 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
