Addressing a massive gathering in Kattakada, PM Modi reiterated his criticism of Vijayan and the CPI-M, accusing them of “robbing the poor” and engaging in corrupt practices. He highlighted issues within CPI-M controlled cooperative banks, alleging mismanagement and financial impropriety, including claims that the Trissur district CPI-M secretary amassed assets worth Rs 100 crore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
PM Modi dismissed Vijayan’s assurances of returning money to depositors affected by the cooperative bank crisis, asserting that it would be the central government’s responsibility to restore the funds. He also pointed to alleged involvement of Vijayan and his daughter in the CMRL company scandal, suggesting that without the vigilance of the Modi government, such corruption would have gone unnoticed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Asserting a commitment to rooting out corruption, PM Modi criticized the Kerala government’s financial management, citing empty treasuries and reliance on central funds to repay debts. He referenced a recent Supreme Court ruling against the state government, attributing the financial crisis to governance failures and corruption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a bid to rally support for the BJP and NDA candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, PM Modi urged the audience to vote for a corruption-free government. Despite facing opposition from the Left and Congress, he expressed confidence in the BJP’s ability to deliver clean governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Accompanying PM Modi on stage were BJP nominees for Kerala’s Lok Sabha seats, including Union Ministers Rajeev Chandrasekhar and V. Muraleedharan, along with other party leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
