Justice Ahmadi was elevated to the Supreme Court in December 1988 and served as Chief Justice of India from 1994 to 1995.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Born on February 22, 1928, in Gujarat, Justice Ahmadi completed his law degree from the Government Law College in Mumbai and began his legal career in 1952. He served as a judge of the Gujarat High Court and the Rajasthan High Court before being appointed as Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court in 1988.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>During his tenure as Chief Justice of India, Justice Ahmadi delivered several landmark judgments, including the judgment in the famous &#8220;Hindutva case&#8221; that defined the scope of the term &#8220;Hindutva&#8221; and its relation to the concept of &#8220;Hinduism&#8221;. He also made significant contributions to the field of judicial reforms and was a strong advocate for judicial independence.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Justice Ahmadi will be remembered as a highly respected and distinguished jurist who made significant contributions to the Indian legal system.
