{"id":17110,"date":"2024-05-12T22:16:55","date_gmt":"2024-05-12T16:46:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vglobenews.com\/?p=17110"},"modified":"2024-05-12T22:16:58","modified_gmt":"2024-05-12T16:46:58","slug":"election-commission-orders-action-against-andhra-pradesh-sp-for-election-code-violation-in-nandyal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vglobenews.com\/?p=17110","title":{"rendered":"Election Commission Orders Action Against Andhra Pradesh SP for Election Code Violation in Nandyal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh<\/strong> &#8211; The Election Commission of India (ECI) has issued directives for disciplinary action against Superintendent of Police Raghuveer Reddy in Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh, citing a failure to uphold the election code of conduct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ECI instructed the Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police to initiate charges against the SP and further ordered a departmental inquiry into the conduct of SP Raghuveer Reddy, SDPO Ravindernath Reddy, and CI Raja Reddy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities have mandated the police chief to report back to the ECI regarding the actions taken against the implicated officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ECI expressed grave concern over an incident that occurred on Saturday, wherein actor Allu Arjun visited Nandyal without obtaining requisite permissions from the appropriate authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite Section 144 being enforced, a substantial crowd of the actor&#8217;s fans gathered, and the police allegedly failed to manage the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response, the police registered a case against Allu Arjun and Nandyal MLA and YSR Congress candidate Silpa Ravi under section 188 of the Indian Penal Code for disobedience to a public servant&#8217;s order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Allu Arjun visited the MLA&#8217;s residence on the final day of campaigning to extend his support.
