According to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ashkenazi, 51, will assume her new role at Alphabet on July 31, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashkenazi brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having served as Executive Vice President and CFO of the US-based pharmaceutical firm Eli Lilly and Company for over 23 years. Her career at Eli Lilly, which she joined in 2001, spans a diverse range of financial, strategy, and operations roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In her new role, Ashkenazi will be based in the Bay Area, reporting directly to Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai. \u201cThe AI era is giving us an incredible opportunity to innovate at scale across our core products and to create entirely new products and experiences for our users and customers. I look forward to working with Anat as we invest responsibly to support our next wave of growth,\u201d Pichai said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ashkenazi also held roles as the CFO for several global divisions within Eli Lilly, including Oncology, Diabetes, Global Manufacturing &amp; Quality, and Research &amp; Development.
