Following Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s severe criticism during his visit to the Polavaram project yesterday, blaming Jagan for its destruction, former Minister of Water Resources Ambati Rambabu held a press conference today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ambati Rambabu criticized the yellow media for publishing false stories and labeling Jagan as a traitor to the Polavaram project. Instead, Rambabu asserted that the real traitor to Polavaram is Chandrababu Naidu. He questioned why Chandrababu, who promised to complete Polavaram by 2018, failed to do so. Rambabu accused Chandrababu of attempting to profit from the Polavaram project and advised him to acknowledge his mistakes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rambabu clarified that significant progress on Polavaram occurred only under Jagan’s administration. He emphasized the importance of the public knowing the truth and stated that no mistakes occurred during Jagan’s tenure with regard to Polavaram. Rambabu explained that typically, the diaphragm wall is constructed after the cofferdams, but in Polavaram, this sequence was altered, leading to damage in the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The former Minister highlighted that it was under YSRCP’s governance that the cofferdams and spillways were constructed, whereas Chandrababu Naidu had given up on Polavaram.
