On Monday, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy paid homage to former Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR) during his 75th birth anniversary celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan, the headquarters of the Telangana Congress. Revanth Reddy acknowledged that the six guarantees announced by the Congress party for the Assembly elections were inspired by YSR’s legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Minister highlighted that various initiatives, such as the Musi Riverfront Development project, Metro Rail, Krishna and Godavari waters, and investment attraction in Hyderabad, were all influenced by YSR’s visionary leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Revanth Reddy also noted that YSR’s Padayatra inspired Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. He reminisced about how YSR’s yatra helped the Congress gain power in united Andhra Pradesh and claimed that Rahul Gandhi’s yatra played a significant role in the Congress’s victories in Telangana, Karnataka, and Himachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reflecting on YSR’s tenure, Revanth Reddy mentioned that after securing a second consecutive term in 2009, YSR had aspirations for Rahul Gandhi to become the Prime Minister. “YSR left us even before Rahul Gandhi ascended to the PM\u2019s post. With the inspiration of YSR, all the Congress workers should strive hard to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister,” he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Revanth Reddy asserted that Rahul Gandhi, who is already working diligently as the Leader of Opposition, is just one step away from becoming the Prime Minister. He expressed confidence that the country would progress under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership and urged Congress workers to commit to making this a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Posts and positions are not important for Rahul Gandhi. The Congress leader would have become the PM in 2004 and 2014,” Revanth Reddy stated, adding that the entire nation awaits Rahul Gandhi’s leadership as Prime Minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Chief Minister underscored the lasting impact of YSR’s development initiatives on Telangana, describing YSR as synonymous with welfare. He encouraged all political parties and leaders to continue implementing the welfare schemes initiated by YSR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Reflecting on his own journey, Revanth Reddy recalled assuming the role of TPCC President on July 7, 2021, and overcoming numerous challenges to bring the party to power in Telangana within three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier in the day, Revanth Reddy inaugurated a photo exhibition on YSR at Praja Bhavan and garlanded the statue of YSR at Panjagutta. The event saw the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, AICC in-charge Deepa Dasmunshi, former MP K. V. P. Ramachandra Rao, and other senior leaders like Madhu Yaskhi and Mohammed Ali Shabbir, who joined in paying tributes to the leader who served as Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh from 2004 to 2009.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
