New Delhi, August 16:<\/em><\/strong> Yang Liu, Chairman of Foxconn, an international industrial giant, highlighted the immense potential of Hyderabad for expansion across multiple sectors, including industry and services. In a meeting with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his official residence in Delhi on Friday morning, Liu announced his plans to visit Hyderabad with his team soon to explore potential investments and collaborations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy provided an in-depth overview of Hyderabad’s rich history, emphasizing its strategic importance for industrial expansion and its favorable climatic conditions. He elaborated on the city\u2019s phased development over 430 years and its evolution into a major industrial hub. Reddy introduced the concept of the “Fourth City,” a new urban area planned to focus on key sectors such as education, healthcare, sports, electronics, electrical, and skill development. He emphasized that the new city would be designed to meet the demands of the modern industrial landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister also announced the establishment of the Young India Skill Development University, which aims to equip the youth with skills that are aligned with the needs of contemporary industries. The university’s curriculum is being designed by eminent industrialists, including Anand Mahindra, who has been appointed as the chairman, and Srinivasa Raju, who will serve as the vice-chairman. This initiative reflects the government\u2019s commitment to fostering a skilled workforce capable of driving innovation and growth in various sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stated that a team led by Chief Campus Operations Officer Kathy Yang and India representative V. State IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu also briefed Liu on the state government\u2019s initiatives under Chief Minister Reddy\u2019s leadership.
