On the occasion of People’s Governance Day, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy delivered a powerful speech, emphasizing the historical significance of September 17, 1948, when Telangana broke free from slavery. Speaking on Hyderabad soil, he highlighted that Telangana\u2019s foundation is built on sacrifice, with Doddi Komuraiah being a symbol of such sacrifices during the region’s armed struggle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister paid tribute to the martyrs who lost their lives in the fight for freedom and declared September 17 as one of the most significant days in Telangana\u2019s history. He acknowledged the ongoing debate about how to define this day, with some referring to it as “Merger Day” and others as “Emancipation Day.” However, he committed to officially celebrating it as “People’s Governance Day” once the people’s government came to power, ensuring that the sacrifices of Telangana\u2019s martyrs are honored appropriately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CM Reddy further emphasized the unity of Telangana\u2019s diverse cultures, races, and religions, symbolized by the clenched fist\u2014a representation of strength and solidarity.
