Chandrababu Naidu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Complaint and Allegations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The case was filed following a complaint by Bandaru Vamsikrishna, a leader of Telugu Yuvatha, the youth wing of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). The complainant accused Posani of making defamatory comments during a press conference in September, which allegedly tarnished the CM\u2019s image and caused discord between groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Posani, a former chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Film Development Corporation, has been booked under several sections of the Bharat Nyay Sanhita (BNS), including Sections 111, 196, 353, 299, 341, and 336 (3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Previous Cases Against Posani<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This is not the first legal action against the actor-politician. Last week, a case was registered against him in Kadapa district for alleged derogatory remarks against Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and IT Minister Nara Lokesh. Similar complaints were filed by Jana Sena leaders in Rajahmundry for comments targeting Pawan Kalyan and his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Broader Crackdown on Defamatory Content<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The TDP-Jana Sena-BJP coalition government has intensified its crackdown on YSRCP supporters and social media activists accused of posting defamatory content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ram Gopal Varma:<\/strong> The controversial filmmaker faces legal action for allegedly derogatory posts about CM Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan. Varma has been summoned for questioning on November 18 in a case filed under Sections 336 (4) and 353 (2) of the BNS Act and Section 67 of the IT Act at Maddipadu police station.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sri Reddy:<\/strong> Actress and YSRCP supporter Sri Reddy is also under investigation for allegedly posting defamatory content targeting Naidu and Pawan Kalyan on social media ahead of the 2024 general elections. A case was filed under the Information Technology Act, 2000, by Rajahmundry police.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Political Implications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>These legal actions come as tensions between the ruling coalition and the YSRCP continue to escalate ahead of the 2024 general elections.
