Undeterred by these complexities, the expert cardiology team at NIMS, led by Dr. B. Srinivas, Head of the Department of Cardiology, explored cutting-edge alternatives to ensure the patient\u2019s safety and recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The procedure was further complicated by the presence of excessive calcium deposits in the mitral annulus, a condition that has limited the number of successful TMVR cases worldwide. Anurag. The new valve was implanted through a blood vessel in the leg, avoiding the need for open-heart surgery and ensuring a quicker, safer recovery for the patient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The patient\u2019s recovery was remarkable.
