The occasion was Chrysanthemum Day 2024, an event designed to inspire and educate rural farmers, particularly women and youth, on the profitable cultivation and management of this cherished flower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was inaugurated by Dr. Danda Raji Reddy, Vice-Chancellor of SKLTHU, and graced by Smt. S.K. Yasmeen Basha, IAS, Director of Horticulture and Sericulture, Government of Telangana. Yasmeen Basha, shed light on the government\u2019s efforts to strengthen the horticulture sector. She emphasized the importance of providing genuine planting materials, establishing district-level cold storage facilities, and improving market yards. She also reiterated the potential of value addition, such as dry flower technology, in boosting farmers&#8217; incomes and generating profits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was not merely an exhibition but a hands-on experience for the participants. Farmers walked through the chrysanthemum fields, gaining firsthand knowledge of cultivation techniques.
