Telangana Aims for Global Competitiveness: CM Revanth Reddy Speaks at Davos Strategic Dialogue<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Davos, January 22: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy emphasized his state\u2019s ambition to compete on a global scale while fostering harmonious relations with neighboring states during the \u201cCountry Strategic Dialogue\u201d roundtable meeting held under the aegis of the World Economic Forum in Davos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sharing the stage with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Revanth Reddy addressed the gathering on various topics, highlighting Telangana\u2019s developmental vision, its global aspirations, and inter-state cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Telangana\u2019s Global Vision<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revanth Reddy reiterated Telangana\u2019s goal to emerge as a global leader in development, aiming to rival world-class cities like New York, Tokyo, and Singapore. He emphasized the state\u2019s commitment to becoming a trillion-dollar economy and contributing significantly to India\u2019s aspiration of becoming a five-trillion-dollar economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Telangana, with Hyderabad as its capital, is not just competing with domestic states but is a prime destination for \u2018China Plus One\u2019 countries. Our vision is to develop the state into three regions. The core urban area within the Outer Ring Road (ORR) focuses on IT and pharma sectors. Once the 360-km regional ring road beyond the ORR is completed, 65% of Telangana will transition into urban areas, which is key to economic growth,” he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Revanth Reddy also outlined plans to promote agro-allied industries, organic food products, and exports of meat, chicken, and fish in rural areas up to the Telangana border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collaborative Development with Neighboring States<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the presence of Chandrababu Naidu and Devendra Fadnavis, the Telangana Chief Minister highlighted the shared geographical and economic interests of the three states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We share borders, rivers, and aspirations. The Krishna and Godavari rivers flow from Maharashtra through Telangana and into Andhra Pradesh, forming lifelines for all three states. Our priority is mutual development, ensuring benefits for everyone,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He praised the contributions of former Prime Ministers Rajiv Gandhi and P.V. Narasimha Rao for pioneering reforms in computer technology, telecom, and economic liberalization. He also acknowledged the developmental efforts of Chandrababu Naidu and the late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in shaping Hyderabad into a globally recognized city.

He also noted that the Davos summit was instrumental in understanding global trends and attracting investments that align with Telangana\u2019s developmental goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The session was moderated by Sameer Saran, President of the Observer Research Foundation. The three Chief Ministers engaged in discussions on India\u2019s developmental trajectory, state-specific growth strategies, welfare policies, technological advancements, and job creation for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
