Hyderabad, January 28:<\/strong> Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy reaffirmed the Congress government\u2019s commitment to transforming Hyderabad into a world-class city and a top global investment destination. Speaking at the Hyderabad Real Estate Summit 2025 held at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) in Madhapur on Tuesday, the minister laid out an ambitious vision for the city\u2019s future, emphasizing infrastructure development, economic growth, and robust support for the real estate sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the gathering, Uttam Kumar Reddy noted the vibrant participation at the summit as a reflection of the sector\u2019s resurgence. \u201cThe impressive turnout today highlights the confidence and potential in Hyderabad\u2019s real estate market. It\u2019s clear that this sector is on the cusp of a major boom,\u201d he said. The minister commended the city\u2019s strengths, such as its moderate climate, cosmopolitan culture, skilled workforce, and advanced infrastructure, which continue to make Hyderabad a prime destination for investors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrating Past Achievements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The minister credited the foundation laid by the previous Congress government for Hyderabad\u2019s transformation into a leading urban centre. He highlighted key projects like the Outer Ring Road, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad, the Metro Rail, and drinking water supply from the Krishna and Godavari rivers, which have significantly contributed to the city\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHyderabad has consistently grown from strength to strength, and with our government\u2019s focused efforts, it is poised to become a globally recognized investment hub,\u201d Uttam Kumar Reddy said. He also pointed to the Rs. 1.78 lakh crore in investments secured by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu during the World Economic Forum in Davos as a testament to Hyderabad\u2019s rising global stature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Sports and Future City Projects:<\/strong> The government is setting up a state-of-the-art Sports University and a Future City project designed to rival the world\u2019s best urban developments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

If you encounter issues, bring them to my attention, and I will personally take them up with the Chief Minister and Cabinet,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Focus on Safety and Growth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Uttam Kumar Reddy emphasized that maintaining law and order is crucial for fostering growth and investment. He also highlighted efforts to attract more people to Hyderabad by promoting economic opportunities and ensuring a safe, secure environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
