CM Revanth Reddy Seeks PM Modi\u2019s Approval for Key Telangana Projects<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delhi, February 26, 2025:<\/strong> Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, urging the Centre\u2019s approval and financial support for several key infrastructure projects in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting at the PM\u2019s official residence, CM Revanth Reddy requested immediate approval for Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II<\/strong>, which aims to expand metro connectivity across the city. He highlighted that the previous government had neglected metro expansion for the past ten years. The proposed Phase-II covers five corridors spanning 76.4 km<\/strong> at an estimated cost of \u20b924,269 crore<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister also sought the sanctioning of the southern part of the Regional Ring Road (RRR)<\/strong>, noting that 90% of land acquisition for the northern part is already complete<\/strong>. He assured that the Telangana government is willing to bear 50% of the land acquisition cost<\/strong> for the southern part to ensure timely completion. Additionally, he proposed the development of a Regional Ring Rail project parallel to the RRR<\/strong>, which would enhance connectivity between Telangana and neighboring states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To boost Telangana\u2019s export and import sector, CM Revanth Reddy requested approval for a dry port<\/strong> near the RRR. He urged the PM to sanction a rail line along the RRR and a greenfield road<\/strong> to connect Telangana\u2019s dry port with Andhra Pradesh\u2019s seaports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The revival of the Musi River<\/strong> was another major request. Emphasizing Musi\u2019s cultural and spiritual significance<\/strong>, CM Revanth Reddy urged the PM to approve \u20b920,000 crore<\/strong> for the project. The plan includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Bapu Ghat development<\/strong> at the Isa-Musa confluence,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • 27 Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs)<\/strong> for Musi purification,<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Construction of retaining walls and embankments<\/strong>, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Delinking of Musi and Godavari rivers<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    He also sought 222.7 acres of protected land<\/strong> for the proposed Gandhi Sarovar Project<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Citing the rise in cybercrimes, drug-related cases, and urban expansion, CM Revanth Reddy demanded 29 additional IPS cadre posts<\/strong> for Telangana. He pointed out that after the state\u2019s bifurcation, Telangana received 61 IPS posts, with 15 more sanctioned in 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The Chief Minister further appealed for the establishment of an India Semiconductor Mission in Telangana<\/strong>, arguing that the state offers ideal conditions for the semiconductor industry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
