The most famous legend associated with Holi is that of <strong>Prahlada and Holika<\/strong>. According to Hindu scriptures, Prahlada was a devout follower of Lord Vishnu, but his father, the demon king Hiranyakashipu, opposed his devotion. In an attempt to kill Prahlada, Hiranyakashipu\u2019s sister, Holika, who was immune to fire, sat in a blazing pyre with him. However, due to divine intervention, Holika was burned, while Prahlada emerged unharmed. This event symbolizes the triumph of good over evil, and the ritual of Holika Dahan (bonfire) is observed on the night before Holi to commemorate this victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another significant legend is associated with <strong>Lord Krishna and Radha<\/strong>. It is believed that young Krishna, who had a dark complexion, was troubled by Radha\u2019s fair skin.
