Hyderabad, March 21, 2025:<\/strong> The Power Engineers Association has expressed its appreciation for the state government’s substantial allocation to the power sector in the latest budget. The association hailed the move as a historic step<\/strong> toward strengthening Telangana\u2019s energy infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted power supply to consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on Thursday, Power Engineers Association State President Ratnakar Rao<\/strong> and Secretary General Sadanandam<\/strong> welcomed the unprecedented allocation of \u20b921,221 crore<\/strong> to the energy department. They highlighted that this represents an increase of \u20b94,815 crore<\/strong> compared to the previous year, demonstrating the government’s commitment to the sector. The association extended its gratitude to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy<\/strong> and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka<\/strong> for prioritizing power sector development and ensuring adequate financial support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening Power Infrastructure<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The association praised the efforts of Transco<\/strong> and DISCOMs<\/strong> in implementing measures to handle the surge in power demand during the ongoing summer season. They emphasized the critical role of a well-maintained transmission and distribution network<\/strong> in delivering uninterrupted electricity to consumers, particularly farmers and industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlighting the need for long-term energy planning, they called for the establishment of new power plants<\/strong> to meet the rapidly increasing electricity demand<\/strong> in the state. They stressed the importance of diversified energy generation<\/strong>, including solar, wind, and reverse pumping technologies<\/strong> under the GENCOs (Generation Corporations).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Commitment to Quality Power Supply<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The association urged power engineers across the state to work with dedication<\/strong> and provide efficient, high-quality services<\/strong> to farmers, industries, and households. They emphasized that improved performance in power companies would not only ensure better service delivery<\/strong> but also enhance the sector\u2019s reputation<\/strong> at the national level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the increased budget allocation, the Telangana government is expected to focus on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
