Just days after inspecting agricultural fields, the IAS officer surprised locals on Sunday morning by choosing an unconventional mode of travel\u2014cycling 20 kilometers along with his wife, Sreeja, to the Ramayampet bus stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sight of the district\u2019s top official pedaling through the roads was enough to turn heads. Dressed in casual attire, Rahul Raj and his wife set out early in the morning, embracing the spirit of sustainable and active travel. As they reached the bustling Ramayampet bus stand, passengers and shopkeepers were taken aback by the Collector\u2019s unexpected visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His primary mission was to inspect passenger facilities and assess the overall condition of the bus stand. The Depot Manager, Surekha, was quick to arrive at the location after hearing about the Collector\u2019s visit. Wasting no time, Rahul Raj went on a detailed inspection of the premises, ensuring that essential services such as drinking water and sanitation were properly maintained. Expressing concern over cleanliness, he directed the officials to ensure that garbage was disposed of regularly and that passengers were provided with a hygienic environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, what made his visit truly stand out was his decision to experience the bus services firsthand. After completing the inspection, he and his wife boarded an RTC bus like any other passenger, purchasing tickets and taking their seats among the crowd.
