{"id":22820,"date":"2025-04-05T21:40:49","date_gmt":"2025-04-05T16:10:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/vglobenews.com\/?p=22820"},"modified":"2025-04-05T21:40:52","modified_gmt":"2025-04-05T16:10:52","slug":"tejashwi-yadav-slams-waqf-amendment-bill-vows-to-scrap-it-in-bihar-if-rjd-comes-to-power","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vglobenews.com\/?p=22820","title":{"rendered":"Tejashwi Yadav Slams Waqf Amendment Bill, Vows to Scrap It in Bihar if RJD Comes to Power"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>News Article:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Patna, April 5, 2025:<\/strong><br>The political heat in Bihar has intensified over the controversial <strong>Waqf Amendment Bill-2025<\/strong>, with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav declaring that the Bill will be \u201cthrown into the dustbin\u201d if his party returns to power in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Calling the Bill \u201cunconstitutional\u201d and a violation of <strong>Article 26 of the Indian Constitution<\/strong>, Yadav accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of using divisive strategies to divert public attention from pressing national issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe Waqf Amendment Bill is unconstitutional. It infringes on religious freedom and aims to polarise society. The BJP is trying to shift focus from inflation, unemployment, and inequality by stirring communal sentiments,\u201d Yadav stated on Saturday.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>In a sharp attack on both the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Yadav alleged that the central government is attempting to override the Constitution in favour of an ideological agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThey want to replace the Indian Constitution with the laws of Nagpur. The RSS-BJP combine is anti-Constitution. RJD stands for <strong>secularism, social justice, and democratic values<\/strong> \u2014 we will continue this fight inside and outside the legislature,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Yadav also took aim at Bihar Chief Minister <strong>Nitish Kumar<\/strong>, accusing him of compromising secular values for political power. \u201cNitish Kumar\u2019s political alliances are opportunistic. His recent alignment with the BJP is a betrayal of Bihar\u2019s secular ethos,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Highlighting the broader implications of the Bill, Tejashwi warned that its true objective is to alienate <strong>Muslims, Dalits, and backward communities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThe Bill is not just a legal change \u2014 it&#8217;s an attempt to disempower the most marginalised.
