Your ideology should be Indian nationalism and the Constitution,\u201d Owaisi asserted.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n He questioned the rationale behind the amendment by comparing it to religious endowment provisions for other communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHow can something that is good for Hindu and Sikh communities be considered bad for Muslims?\u201d he asked, citing that only Muslims are being restricted under the new provisions<\/strong>, while Hindus, Jains, and Sikhs retain broader rights over their religious endowment boards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Owaisi argued that the Waqf Amendment Act<\/strong> undermines Articles 14, 15, 25, 26, and 29<\/strong> of the Constitution, which guarantee equality, religious freedom, and protection of minority rights. He added that the Act neither aims to safeguard Waqf properties<\/strong> nor remove encroachments<\/strong> or enhance their revenue<\/strong>\u2014but instead, reflects the government’s mistrust towards Muslims<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Addressing recent violence in Murshidabad<\/strong>, West Bengal during anti-Waqf Act protests, the Hyderabad MP reiterated his stance against violence:<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cProtests should be peaceful. We have always condemned violence and will continue to do so.
