In the heart of Karimnagar, nestled among modest homes and quiet aspirations, a young boy from the Yerukala community<\/strong>, a Scheduled Tribe (ST) group, dared to dream beyond the ordinary. Today, that dream has taken flight. Palakurthy Sandeep<\/strong>, who once roamed paddy fields with his farmer friends, has secured State Rank 80 and Category Rank 2 (MZ-I)<\/strong> in the prestigious TSPSC Group 1 exam 2025<\/strong> \u2014 a feat that puts him on the path to becoming a Deputy Collector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not just an individual achievement. It is a story of resilience, of breaking social and systemic barriers, and of carrying the hopes of an entire community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Roots That Ground, Wings That Soar<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Born into a humble yet disciplined home, Sandeep was raised by P. Kashaiah<\/strong>, a principled Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)<\/strong> in Karimnagar, and Bhagyalaxmi<\/strong>, a homemaker whose quiet strength kept the family grounded. Growing up in such a service-oriented household, values like dedication, integrity, and perseverance were deeply instilled in Sandeep from a young age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His educational journey began at Vani Niketan High School<\/strong>, followed by Intermediate at Alphores Junior College<\/strong>, both in Karimnagar. Inspired by the importance of agriculture in Telangana, he pursued a B.Sc. in Agriculture<\/strong> from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Madurai<\/strong>, and later, a postgraduate degree from Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Hyderabad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, he serves as a Mandal Agriculture Officer in Konaraopet Mandal, Rajanna Sircilla<\/strong>, where his work touches the lives of farmers every day \u2014 a testament to his passion for rural development and upliftment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carving a Path Through Competition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The TSPSC Group 1 exam<\/strong> is no small hurdle. With over 31,000 candidates<\/strong> vying for 563 top-level government positions<\/strong>, the selection process is grueling \u2014 from the prelims and mains to the final interview. But Sandeep approached it with the patience of a farmer and the focus of a soldier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His Category Rank 2 among the MZ-I ST candidates<\/strong>, and an overall State Rank of 80<\/strong>, didn\u2019t come easy. It came through long hours of study, discipline, and an unwavering belief that someone from a tribal background could not only compete but excel at the highest levels of government recruitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The success story doesn\u2019t stop with Sandeep. His elder brother, P. Sanjay<\/strong>, holds a Ph.D. in Agriculture<\/strong> from the University of Connecticut, USA<\/strong>, and his sister, P. Sindhu<\/strong>, is pursuing her MBBS as a house surgeon at ESIC Medical College, Chennai<\/strong>. The Palakurthy family has become a symbol of academic excellence and service dedication \u2014 an inspiration not just in Karimnagar but for families across Telangana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hope for the Yerukala Community<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sandeep\u2019s success resonates far beyond exam ranks. As a proud member of the Yerukala tribal community<\/strong>, his achievement is a beacon of hope. It proves that with the right support, commitment, and opportunities, tribal youth can reach leadership positions and help shape the very systems that once left them behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
