The TUTEM system extends beyond the Metro journey, offering assistance for <strong>first-mile and last-mile connectivity<\/strong> through walking, two-wheelers, cars, buses, or auto-rickshaws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For women in particular, the app includes a <strong>real-time alert mechanism<\/strong> that allows them to notify <strong>police control centers<\/strong>, as well as <strong>family and emergency contacts<\/strong>, if they feel unsafe during any part of their commute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Reddy emphasized that <strong>engineering and technology-driven solutions<\/strong> are critical to addressing socio-economic challenges, reaffirming Hyderabad Metro Rail\u2019s commitment to innovation. With <strong>over 5 lakh passengers using Metro services daily<\/strong>, the city\u2019s metro system has played a pivotal role in providing eco-friendly and reliable transportation for the past seven years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Expansion Plans &amp; Future Vision:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>BITS Pilani Vice-Chancellor Prof. V. Ram Gopal Rao<\/strong> said the app has been carefully designed with features that ensure <strong>women can travel safely even during late-night hours<\/strong>. He expressed confidence that the TUTEM initiative could be scaled to <strong>other Indian cities<\/strong> in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other dignitaries present at the event included <strong>ADB representative Josephine Aquino<\/strong>, <strong>BITS Pilani-Hyderabad Director Prof. Soumyo Mukherjee<\/strong>, <strong>IIT Bombay\u2019s Prof. Avijit Majhi<\/strong>, and <strong>BITS Prof. Prashanth Sahu<\/strong>, who contributed to the development and refinement of the app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The TUTEM app is expected to be launched for public use soon, marking a major step forward in
