The operation, carried out on July 26, marks a significant victory in the state\u2019s ongoing war against drug trafficking and organized crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interception took place at Batasingaram Fruit Market Junction<\/strong> on the Vijayawada National Highway<\/strong> at precisely 3:05 PM<\/strong>, when an EAGLE task force\u2014acting on specific intelligence\u2014intercepted a suspicious convoy comprising a Tata Eicher truck<\/strong> and a Toyota Innova<\/strong>. The search revealed 455 packets of dry ganja<\/strong> stuffed in 35 HDPE bags<\/strong>, cleverly concealed beneath layers of empty plastic fruit trays<\/strong>, indicating a sophisticated attempt to disguise contraband as part of a fruit shipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Crackdown on a Multistate Smuggling Network<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to officials, the seized contraband was being transported from Odisha<\/strong> via Andhra Pradesh<\/strong> en route to Maharashtra<\/strong>, uncovering a well-established interstate drug trafficking network<\/strong>. Three individuals have been apprehended in connection with the case:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators have also seized six mobile phones<\/strong> with dual IMEIs<\/strong>, believed to contain crucial data relating to the smuggling network\u2019s communications and financial transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    All seized material\u2014including the ganja<\/strong>, the vehicles<\/strong>, and the mobile phones<\/strong>\u2014has been secured and documented for forensic analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A case has been formally registered under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
