In a shocking incident that cast a pall over Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations<\/strong>, six devotees lost their lives and four others were seriously injured after receiving an electric shock during the Sri Krishna Shobha Yatra<\/strong> at Gokul Nagar, Ramanthapur<\/strong> under Uppal police station limits<\/strong> on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How the Tragedy Unfolded<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

According to eyewitnesses, the mishap occurred during the concluding stage of the Shobha Yatra, when the decorated chariot carrying Lord Krishna\u2019s idol<\/strong> came to a halt. As devotees enthusiastically pushed the chariot forward, its upper structure accidentally came into contact with high-tension electric wires overhead. Within moments, ten people who were in direct contact with the chariot received severe shocks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five of them died on the spot, while four others collapsed with critical burns and injuries. Locals and police personnel rushed to their aid, shifting them immediately to nearby hospitals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
