Telangana Hosts 7th All India Prison Duty Meet 2025 at RBVRR Police Academy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Hyderabad, September 7, 2025:<\/strong> The Telangana Prisons and Correctional Services Department<\/strong> is all set to host the 7th All India Prison Duty Meet \u2013 2025<\/strong> from September 9 to 11<\/strong> at the RBVRR Telangana Police Academy, Hyderabad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The prestigious national event will witness the participation of over 1,300 prison personnel<\/strong>, including 184 women officers and staff<\/strong>, representing 21 States and 3 Union Territories<\/strong>. Participants will showcase their skills and talent in 36 professional, sports, and cultural competitions<\/strong>. These range from first aid, welfare schemes, quizzes, and computer skills<\/strong>, to athletics, volleyball, kabaddi, karate, music, dance, and painting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the second time Telangana is hosting the meet<\/strong>, the first being in 2015. The state has a proud track record, having emerged as the Overall Champion in the previous edition held in 2022 at Ahmedabad<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time in the history of the Prison Duty Meet<\/strong>, an All India Techno Expo<\/strong> and National Prison Product Stalls<\/strong> are being organised, providing a platform to showcase innovative technologies and products developed by various prison departments across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the preparations, Director General of Prisons, Dr. Soumya Mishra, IPS<\/strong>, today distributed sports kits to 84 members of the Telangana contingent<\/strong>, encouraging them to compete with discipline, confidence, and sportsmanship. She expressed confidence that Telangana\u2019s team would put up an impressive performance and uphold the state\u2019s legacy in the national event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Department of Prisons has made elaborate arrangements<\/strong> for the smooth conduct of the meet, in close coordination with the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), New Delhi<\/strong>, and the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-day event is expected to strengthen camaraderie, professional excellence, and cultural exchange<\/strong> among prison staff from across the country, while also highlighting Telangana\u2019s growing role as a hub for progressive prison reforms and correctional initiatives.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
