He had been absconding since September 2024, when the agency registered a case and launched a series of coordinated raids across multiple cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"172\" width=\"300\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vglobenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/screenshot_2025_1125_103832501242431533320524-300x172.jpg?resize=300%2C172&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26308\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Call Centres in Four Cities Earlier Dismantled<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>24 September 2024<\/strong>, the CBI registered a case and subsequently conducted extensive searches at various locations linked to the accused network. During those operations, the agency <strong>busted four illegal call centres<\/strong> operating out of <strong>Pune, Hyderabad, and Visakhapatnam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigators revealed that Vikas Kumar Nimar was instrumental in setting up and managing illegal call centres under the name <strong>VC InfroMetrix Pvt. Ltd.<\/strong> in Pune and Visakhapatnam. Following the raids, he went underground, evading arrest for more than a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To secure his custody, the CBI obtained an arrest warrant from the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Pune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/vglobenews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/screenshot_2025_1125_1038583346143551324300956.jpg?w=640&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26309\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Arrest in Lucknow and Fresh Raids<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>On <strong>20 November 2025<\/strong>, the CBI tracked Nimar to his residence in Lucknow and arrested him. During searches at his residence, officers seized <strong>\u20b914 lakh in cash<\/strong>, several mobile phones, and <strong>incriminating documents<\/strong> related to the cyber-crime operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the same operation, the CBI uncovered <strong>another illegal call centre<\/strong> in Lucknow being run by Nimar. The facility was immediately dismantled.
