The court, presided over by Judge K. M. In its remand application, the agency stated that commissions were allegedly pre-determined, with applicants required to pay bribes to ensure speedy clearance of their files.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ED told the court that statements recorded from co-accused officers and middlemen revealed that <strong>Rajendrakumar Patel allegedly received a 50% share of the total bribe amount<\/strong>, while the remaining portion was distributed among other officials involved in the racket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Role of Personal Assistant Alleged<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Investigators further claimed that Patel\u2019s personal assistant played a key role in the operation. As per statements cited by the ED, the PA allegedly collected bribe money from intermediaries on Patel\u2019s behalf and later handed it over to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assets Under Scanner<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The agency informed the court that preliminary findings indicate the accused may have <strong>amassed illegal proceeds exceeding \u20b910 crore<\/strong> through the alleged scheme. The ED is now probing the money trail, possible benami assets, and links to other officials and beneficiaries in the Surendranagar collectorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wider Probe Likely<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials said the case could widen further, with the ED examining whether similar practices were followed in other districts or during Patel\u2019s previous postings.
