CM Revanth Reddy Proposes Annual WEF Follow-up Forum in Hyderabad<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Davos\/Hyderabad, January 2026:<\/strong>
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has proposed that the World Economic Forum (WEF) organize an annual follow-up meeting every July or August in Hyderabad, stating that a one-year gap is too long in today\u2019s fast-moving global business and investment environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the prestigious \u201cJoin the Rise\u201d<\/strong> event in Davos, the Chief Minister said modern business cycles demand quicker engagement and continuous dialogue. He urged WEF leaders, policymakers, and global business heads to support the idea of a July WEF Forum in Hyderabad<\/strong>, a proposal that received unanimous encouragement from the international audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI request you to join me in making this happen \u2014 to bring a July WEF Forum to Hyderabad,\u201d the Chief Minister said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Telangana Rising Summit Showcases Investment Strength<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister highlighted the remarkable success of the Telangana Rising Global Summit<\/strong>, which attracted investment commitments worth over \u20b95.75 lakh crore<\/strong>. He noted that unlike previous years, when Telangana focused mainly on signing MoUs at Davos, the state is now presenting its long-term vision, governance model, and policy stability to the global community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Referring to the summit held at Bharat Future City in December 2025<\/strong>, he said the event marked a turning point in Telangana\u2019s global positioning and prompted the state to initiate discussions with WEF about hosting a follow-up forum in Hyderabad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vision 2047 and Policy Launches<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Telangana Rising Global Summit showcased the state\u2019s growth framework and Vision 2047<\/strong>, and also witnessed the launch of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Telangana Next-Gen Life Sciences Policy 2026\u20132030<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The Telangana delegation, which included Ministers D. Sridhar Babu<\/strong> and Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy<\/strong>, explained several transformative projects, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Expansion of road and metro rail networks<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Rejuvenation of rivers, lakes, and water bodies<\/li>\n\n\n\n

      Hyderabad Emerging as a Global GCC Hub<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The Chief Minister informed global leaders that Hyderabad has rapidly emerged as a preferred destination for Global Capability Centres (GCCs)<\/strong>. He also announced that Hyderabad is being developed as India\u2019s first 24-hour city<\/strong>, with a special focus on boosting the night-time economy along both sides of the River Musi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Bharat Future City: India\u2019s Global Answer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Elaborating on Bharat Future City, he said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u201cWe are building a completely smart, future-ready city \u2014 India\u2019s answer to the best cities in the world. Bharat Future City will spread across more than 30,000 acres, with over 50 per cent reserved as green cover.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

      Global Support and Cultural Presence<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      The Telangana delegation emphasized the state\u2019s unmatched investment potential and sought cooperation from global companies in technology, innovation, expertise, and knowledge sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
