This marks a growth of 2.29 percent compared to 18,928 units sold in the previous fiscal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company also reported strong quarterly performance, with sales rising by 7.45 percent in the January\u2013March 2026 period to 5,131 units, it said in a statement on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the automaker, the growth was primarily driven by robust demand in the top-end and core luxury segments. Sales in the top-end luxury category grew by 16 percent during the fiscal year and surged by 25 percent in the March quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Models such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Mercedes-Maybach range, EQS SUV, and the Mercedes-AMG portfolio contributed significantly to this growth. Notably, the top-end luxury segment accounted for 27 percent of the company\u2019s total sales. Certain models, including the AMG G 63, currently have waiting periods ranging from four months to a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the core segment, models like the C-Class, E-Class LWB, GLC, and GLE played a key role in sustaining volumes. The E-Class Long Wheelbase retained its position as the highest-selling luxury car in India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the entry-level luxury segment witnessed an 18 percent decline due to rising competition from lower-priced offerings in the market. The company emphasized that its focus remains on delivering technologically advanced products rather than merely increasing volumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The automaker also posted strong growth in the electric vehicle (EV) segment.
