According to their analysis of orders placed from January 2023 to June 15, 2023, Indians have ordered a staggering 76 million biryani dishes, equivalent to 7.6 crore, in the past year alone. Swiggy offers biryani from a whopping 2.6 lakh restaurants, with an impressive 28 thousand of them specializing in this delectable dish. From the aromatic Lucknowi Biryani to the spicy Hyderabadi Dum Biryani, the flavorful Kolkata Biryani to the fragrant Malabar Biryani, people across the country are ordering biryani at a rate of 219 orders per minute.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Swiggy&#8217;s analysis also highlighted the cities with the highest number of biryani-serving restaurants. Bengaluru emerged as the city with the most biryani-serving establishments, boasting 24,000 restaurants. Biryani Rice follows closely behind with 3.5 million orders, while Hyderabadi Biryani has received over 2.8 million orders.
