In a recent statement, TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy has accused Minister KTR of deliberately distorting his comments regarding free electricity in his own residences. Reddy claimed that KTR edited his words to showcase his own cleverness. Speaking to the media on Thursday, Reddy clarified that he was asked about the possibility of free electricity if the Congress party came to power. He revealed that a part of his response was manipulated and misrepresented.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reddy pointed out that the Congress party had included the provision of free electricity in its 2004 manifesto, but it was not implemented by the current Chief Minister, KCR. Challenging Minister KTR, Reddy offered to engage in a discussion with him on the topic of free electricity. He emphasized that the Congress party had initiated the free electricity scheme and had consistently supported farmers, considering agriculture as a festival. Reddy attributed the availability of electricity in Telangana today to the efforts of the Congress party. He also mentioned that the first free electricity agreement was signed after YS came into power. In 2009, the electricity supply was increased from seven hours to nine hours, and the Congress party had also provided loan waivers to farmers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
