Bengaluru, August 18 – A historic milestone in India’s technological advancement was reached as Union Minister for Railways, Communications, Electronics, and Information Technology, Ashwini Vaishnaw, inaugurated the nation’s inaugural 3D-printed post office in Bengaluru on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his inaugural address, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted the significance of this achievement, emphasizing the spirit of progress that defines contemporary India. He remarked, “No one ever thought that India would be developing its own 4G and 5G technology. Nobody ever thought that India would produce its own very complex telecom equipment.” He underscored the country’s achievements in telecom technology, manufacturing, and even in the development of a world-class train, including progress toward building its own bullet train.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 3D-printed post office, situated in Cambridge Layout within the Halasuru locality, stands as a testament to India’s commitment to cutting-edge technology. This 1,000 square-foot marvel was constructed using 3D Concrete Printing Technology, a project executed by Larsen and Toubro Construction. The structural design of the post office received approval from IIT Madras, highlighting the collaborative efforts of academia and industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Remarkably, this cutting-edge post office project was completed in a mere 45 days, marking a significant leap forward in construction technology and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
