Hyderabad, September 23rd<\/strong> – In a significant development, the Telangana High Court has ruled to nullify the Group 1 Prelims examination, which was conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The High Court’s decision came in response to a series of petitions filed by candidates who participated in the examination. In their petitions, the candidates raised concerns about procedural irregularities during the conduct of the written test. They alleged that crucial biometric data of candidates had not been collected, and the provided OMR sheets lacked hall ticket numbers, casting doubt on the integrity of the examination process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consequently, the High Court has instructed the TSPSC to organize a fresh round of examinations for the Group 1 Prelims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initial examination, held on June 11, saw a massive participation of over 2.32 lakh candidates who were vying for 503 Group 1 posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s worth noting that this is the second instance of the Group 1 Prelims being cancelled. Previously, the TSPSC had scrapped the examination conducted in October of the previous year, citing a question paper leak that had shaken the Commission in March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TSPSC has faced several setbacks, including allegations of fraudulent activities involving some of its own employees, leading to the cancellation of several recruitment exams. In the October 16, 2022 edition of the Group 1 Prelims, nearly 2.86 lakh candidates had participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
