In a significant operation, the Special Operations Team (SOT) of the Maheshwaram Zone, in collaboration with the Ghatkesar Police, Rachakonda, successfully dismantled an interstate drug trafficking network. One drug peddler has been apprehended, and a massive seizure of 710 kilograms of Ganja and a TATA Container vehicle, valued at Rs. 2,25,50,000, was made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident falls under Crime Number 732\/2023, as per Section 8 (c) read with Section 20 (b) (II) (C) of the NDPS Act at Ghatkesar Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subash Bishnoi was intercepted on October 29, 2023, at the Aushapur check post by the SOT Maheshwaram Zone and Ghatkesar Police. Subash Bishnoi, a native of Rajasthan State, turned to drug trafficking due to financial difficulties. He was lured into the trade by a fellow drug peddler from Rajasthan, who promised him Rs. 60,000 per consignment for transporting Ganja from Odisha to Hyderabad and Maharashtra. Subash Bishnoi successfully delivered one consignment of approximately 500 kilograms of Ganja earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
