In a recent exposé, a detailed account of alleged corruption and irregularities has emerged, casting a shadow over various mega projects in Telangana. The Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme (KLIS), initially estimated at Rs. 40,300 Crores, witnessed an alarming overrun of 110.59%, soaring to Rs. 1.40 lakh crores under the BRS government in 2016.
The Palamuru Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme (PRLIS) and the Pranahira Chevella Sujala Scaranthi Project also faced delays and cost escalations, raising concerns about financial mismanagement.

The controversial Dharani Portal, designed for land transactions, is alleged to have facilitated the acquisition of 24 lakh acres of land by KCR and his family. Additionally, the Outer Ring Road (ORR) lease to IIB Infra Developers for Rs. 7,380 Crore raised eyebrows, as the toll collection over 30 years is estimated to exceed Rs. 30,000 Crore.
The report also highlights discrepancies in the implementation of irrigation projects like Mission Kakatiya, with allegations of inflated claims by contractors and irregularities in the allocation of medical seats.
Serious accusations surround the Nayeem case, with claims that the BRS government is shielding those involved, and concerns about transparency in the recovery of assets valued at over RS.2000 crores.
The GHMC land allocation to housing society, Dalit Bandhu, and the revocation of GO 111 have also been mired in controversy, raising questions about land misuse and corruption.

In the economic sphere, the report points out the Delhi Liquor Scam and the alleged involvement of influential figures in financial fraud cases related to Ranchi Expressway.
Telangana’s development trajectory before the BRS government is brought into the spotlight, comparing its achievements with the previous Congress administration. The exposé concludes with a comparison between Telangana and Karnataka in terms of IT exports, startups, and economic indicators, emphasizing concerns about the state’s current governance.
These revelations have sparked public outcry, demanding a thorough investigation into the alleged corruption and mismanagement in these mega projects.
