New Delhi, Dec 2: Over 15 flights destined for Delhi faced diversions to Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, and Amritsar due to adverse weather conditions and low visibility on Saturday morning. The diversions occurred between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., impacting travel plans for passengers flying into the national capital.

Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport sources reported that the diversions were prompted by challenging weather conditions. Vistara airline confirmed the diversions, with flights such as UK954 from Mumbai to Delhi rerouted to Jaipur and UK832 from Chennai to Delhi diverted to Amritsar. The airlines cited bad weather and low visibility at Delhi airport as the reasons for the diversions.

The national capital experienced shallow fog on this particular morning, contributing to the challenging weather conditions. The minimum temperature dropped to 12.3 degrees Celsius, three notches below the normal range. The weather department forecasts a maximum temperature of around 25 degrees with the persistence of shallow fog throughout the day.
