BC Political Front Calls for Immediate Census and Cabinet Resolution

Hyderabad, December 16 – The BC Political Front, led by President Professor Murali Manohar, has pressed for an urgent census of BC castes in the state of Telangana. In a meeting held at the Hyderabad Press Club on Saturday, representatives of BC associations emphasized the need for a prompt cabinet resolution to address the concerns of the Backward Classes (BCs).

During the meeting, the BC Political Front underscored the Congress Party’s commitment to conducting a population census and urged the implementation of a 42 percent reservation for BCs in the upcoming local body elections. They further advocated for the incorporation of the BC sub plan in the forthcoming budget, calling for immediate action and diligent planning.

The BC Political Front also voiced their demand for prioritizing BC social groups in the allocation of 50 percent of nominated posts within the state. Emphasizing the importance of fulfilling promises made by Rahul Gandhi during the Telangana election campaign, the BC Political Front urged the implementation of points outlined in the Congress party’s manifesto.

Commending the state government for delivering on two of the six guarantees promised during the election, the BC Political Front, along with BC Engineers Federation President Devalla Sammayya, General Secretary Satish Kotte, and Working President Pareli Mallaiah, urged authorities to align with the remaining commitments.

Notable figures present at the meeting included Electrical Engineers Jyotirani Vijayalakshmi, Vinod Raju Veeresham, Professors Akhileshwari, Sudarshan Rao, Radhakrishnan, Gopi, Narender Babu, S Kanaka Chari, Sudhakar, Kola Janardhan, Raja Ramesh, Professor Bagaiah, Pocha Mallesh, Padma Chari, and Senior Journalist Durgam Ravinder.

The BC Political Front’s call for immediate action resonated with various BC Sanghas, educated individuals from BC castes, representatives of public associations, former MLAs, and Telangana activists present at the gathering. The Front aims to ensure the fulfillment of promises made to BCs, emphasizing the importance of inclusive policies and social justice.
