Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted a virtual review meeting with district collectors and officials to assess the preparedness for the event.
The sporting extravaganza involves collaboration with national academies and renowned franchises such as CSK, Prime Volleyball, and Pro-Kabaddi to identify and mentor talent at the grassroots level. Emphasizing the need for women’s participation, CM Jagan directed district collectors to ensure widespread involvement and the distribution of quality kits.
CM Jagan expressed his vision to make ‘Aadudam Andhra’ an annual program, conducted every December, highlighting its objective to conduct a Talent Search Operation and produce sporting stars akin to PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, and Ambati Rayadu.
As part of the initiative, a staggering 34 lakh players have registered across 15,004 Sachivalayams, with over 1.19 crore registrations overall. The government has secured collaborations with esteemed sports franchises and associations, including Chennai Super Kings, Pro-Kabaddi, Prime Volleyball, PV Sindhu, and Srikanth Kidambi academies.
The selection process involves franchise representatives closely monitoring matches at various levels, actively scouting emerging talents with exceptional skills and sportsmanship. Brand ambassadors PV Sindhu and Srikanth Kidambi are actively participating in identifying exceptional badminton players.
Post-selection, the athletes will receive comprehensive support, including assistance with admission, access to professional sports training, and opportunities to join prestigious sports academies.
The strategic partnership aims to nurture talent at the grassroots, providing unparalleled national and international training opportunities for aspiring athletes in Andhra Pradesh.
