Hyderabad, January 1: K. T. Rama Rao, Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), marked the beginning of the new year by sharing a meal with sanitation workers in Hyderabad on Monday.
The former Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister joined the sanitation workers of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) for lunch at the BRS headquarters, Telangana Bhavan. GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalaxmi, affiliated with BRS, was also in attendance.
Taking to social media, KTR expressed gratitude to the hardworking sanitation staff of GHMC, stating that he commenced the first day of 2024 with a lunch meeting, accompanied by Mayor GHMC.
“Had a good lunch meeting with a few hundred of my erstwhile team members along with Mayor GHMC,” he shared, with some sanitation workers capturing moments with the BRS leader through selfies.
Simultaneously, various BRS leaders visited KTR to extend New Year greetings. Notable among them was former minister T. Srinivas Yadav.
Rajya Sabha member Vaddiraju Ravichandra paid a visit to BRS President and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at his residence in Hyderabad. Ravichandra conveyed New Year wishes to KCR, who is in the recovery phase after undergoing hip replacement surgery last month. The surgery followed a hip fracture sustained by KCR in a fall at his farmhouse on December 8. The procedure took place on the same day at a Hyderabad hospital.
