“In a harrowing incident near a shopping mall in Noida, a 26-year-old woman fell victim to an alleged gang-rape by five men. While three suspects have been apprehended, including individuals identified as Rajkumar, Aazad, and Vikas, two others, including the primary accused—a local strongman—remain elusive, as per police reports.
The incident occurred some time ago, but the survivor refrained from immediately reporting it due to the intimidating nature of the alleged perpetrators, described as ‘dabang’ or strongmen. It was only on December 30 that she approached the police, compelled by ongoing harassment and blackmail by the accused.
An FIR was lodged at the Sector 39 police station, prompting an investigation leading to the arrest of the three aforementioned individuals. The police spokesperson confirmed the names of the arrested as Rajkumar, Aazad, and Vikas, while efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the remaining suspects, Ravi and Mehmi.
The arrested individuals were presented before a local court, where they were remanded in judicial custody. The investigation continues as authorities strive to ensure justice for the victim in this distressing case.”
