In a significant development in Telangana, residents are being granted an extended opportunity to address pending challans until the 10th of this month. The state currently grapples with an overwhelming backlog, as a staggering 3 crore 59 lakh challans remain unresolved.

However, there is positive news on the horizon, as proactive individuals have already taken steps to clear 77 lakh challans. This collective effort has led to the successful collection of a noteworthy Rs. 67 crore, indicating a commendable commitment to addressing outstanding traffic violations.

Breaking down the contributions, the Hyderabad Commissionerate has played a crucial role by collecting an impressive 18 crores. Similarly, the Cyberabad Commissionerate has secured 14 crores, while the Rachakonda Commissionerate has successfully gathered Rs. 7.15 crores.

This encouraging progress not only reflects a sense of civic responsibility but also emphasizes the positive impact of timely resolution of traffic violations on public safety. Authorities urge citizens to capitalize on this extended window and promptly clear their pending challans, contributing to the overall success of this initiative.
