Alleged Gang Rape Incident Sparks Urgent Police Investigation
Hyderabad, January 7, 2024 — A distressing incident has come to light as a Telugu-written complaint filed under Cr.No. 02/2024 U/s 366, 376(D), 342 r/w 34 IPC reveals a harrowing experience of a young woman.
On January 6, 2024, at 02:30 hours, the victim, living with her family, boarded a bus from Suryapet to Hyderabad following an argument with her brother. Upon reaching MGBS at Hyderabad around 10:40 PM, she encountered two individuals on a bike who claimed to be headed to a police station. Despite her reluctance, they forcibly made her sit on the bike.
During the journey, the perpetrators offered her an ice cream and later took her to a godown where she was allegedly subjected to physical assault and rape. The victim managed to escape, attracting attention with her screams, prompting the suspects to flee the scene. She was later brought to PS Bandlaguda by concerned citizens around 01:30 AM.
The police have registered a case (Cr.No. 02/2024) and invoked relevant sections of the IPC. An urgent investigation is underway to apprehend the accused and ensure justice for the survivor. The victim’s plea for swift legal action against the perpetrators is being addressed in accordance with the law.
