Hyderabad January 24

In a significant development, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has intensified its efforts by conducting searches at the residence of former HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority) director, Shiv Balakrishna. The ACB has taken action after registering a case against Balakrishna, citing assets that allegedly exceed his reported income.

The operation, marked by thoroughness, involves 8 teams simultaneously scouring 20 different areas. The search is not limited to Balakrishna’s residence, as the ACB is extending its investigation to the offices of Balakrishna’s relatives. This suggests a comprehensive approach to unveil potential irregularities.

Shiv Balakrishna, who previously held a key position in the HMDA planning department, is now under scrutiny for purportedly accumulating significant wealth. The allegations revolve around accusations that he may have amassed crores of rupees through obstructing processes related to post-planning activities.

The unfolding investigation raises questions about the integrity of officials in key positions within HMDA and highlights the ACB’s commitment to combating corruption. As the search unfolds, more details are expected to emerge, shedding light on the extent of the alleged financial misconduct and its implications for the planning department and associated individuals.
