
Annual Cultural Extravaganza at Oxford Grammar School
Hyderabad, January 28, 2024 – Oxford Grammar School, Himayatnagar, celebrated its 43rd Annual Cultural Celebrations on Sunday at Lalita Kala Thoranam, Public Gardens, Nampally, Hyderabad. The event showcased a mesmerizing cultural spectacle under the theme “Euphoria.”
The festivities commenced with the Pre-primary section enchanting the audience with delightful performances inspired by the Animation World, featuring beloved characters such as Aladdin, Mickey Mouse, Lion King, and Cinderella. The Primary School Children took the stage next, presenting vibrant cultural representations from geographical locations like Mexico, Spain, Arabia, and Australia.


The entire program, a grand success, was meticulously planned and executed under the guidance of Vice Chairperson Madam Prarthana Manikonda. Her dedication to details, including dress, makeup, techniques, and props, contributed significantly to the event’s success. The vision and mission of Chief Patron Sri Veda Kumar Manikonda are embedded in the daily life of Oxford Grammar School, making it a unique educational institution.
Dr. M. Chetana, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Peddapally District, Telangana, and an alumna of the school, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. She commended the school for its inclusive approach, encouraging students to excel in various fields. Drawing inspiration from her own school days, Dr. Chetana urged students to learn from exemplary figures like Stephen Hawking, emphasizing the role of schools and teachers in fostering a love for learning.


W. G. Prasanna Kumar, Senior Social Scientist with Telangana State Pollution Control Board, another Guest of Honour, lauded the staff, students, and management for a well-coordinated cultural show. He encouraged parents to support their children’s cultural pursuits alongside academics and emphasized spending quality time with them, urging a reduction in reliance on social media.
Dr. T. Sindoor, a writer, poet, and professor of English language, shared valuable insights during the event. She advised teachers to focus on developing students’ listening skills, considering it a crucial aspect for fostering creative expression and effective communication.
The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by the Primary Graders, expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and attendees. Present on the occasion were Katta Prabhakar, Director, Principals Fahmida, Ramanjula, Fatima Kazim, Coordinators, and administrative staff.
